Which plan fits your situation?
A few weeks of concentrated practice tends to beat months of on-and-off study. The 3-month window matches how most candidates actually prepare, so that's the one we recommend by default. Six months is there for the minority who want more time — if your test isn't booked yet, or work and family keep interrupting your study, the extra months help. The price difference between the two is small, so it really comes down to how much time you want, not your budget.
3-month: the default recommendation
Three months matches the typical preparation window for candidates booking a CCL test. The first stretch settles you into the format and clarifies what the AI scoring actually weighs; the middle stretch focuses on weak topic areas (often medical or legal vocabulary); the final stretch simulates test-day pressure with full sessions and a review pass over every dialogue you missed. The 3-month plan also handles real life — if work or family bumps a week off, you have margin to come back without burning the plan. This is the plan we point most people at by default.
6-month: more time if you want it
Honestly, six months is longer than most people need. It's here for candidates who haven't booked a test date yet, who are fitting study around a heavy work and family schedule, or who failed once and want to rebuild properly instead of rushing a retake. Since it costs only a little more than the 3-month plan, it's good value if you genuinely want the extra time — but most people don't need it.
Try the free Starter tier first
Before either paid plan, the free Starter tier gives you one full test session and one practice session in your chosen language. The most useful thing it tells you isn't whether you'll pass — it's whether our AI scoring surfaces the kinds of mistakes you'd actually want to fix. If the feedback feels generic or wrong for your language pair, don't buy a plan.
What you're paying for (and what you're not)
Paid plans don't introduce features the free tier lacks. AI scoring, vocabulary lists, flashcards, all 10 topic domains, performance analytics, and progress tracking are identical between the Starter and the paid tier. What changes with payment is volume, language breadth, and which dialogues you can practice.
Unlimited tests and practice sessions across all 26 languages
The free tier caps you at one full test plus one practice session in one selected language. Paid plans remove both caps. If you're testing in Hindi but a friend asks you to practice Punjabi with them, you can — same account, no separate purchase.
Access to the full dialogue catalog
This is the difference that matters most in practice. The free tier is pinned to a small fixed set of dialogues by design — every free user practices on the same handful, which keeps the trial honest as a try-before-you-buy without giving the entire question bank away. Paid plans give you the full dialogue set, so each session can use one you haven't seen before. Repeating the same dialogue once you already know the answer doesn't simulate test-day pressure; new dialogues do.
What you're not paying for
This isn't a NAATI prep school. We don't offer one-on-one coaching, live tutoring, or test booking services. We don't guarantee a pass — your test is judged by NAATI's assessors, not by us, and any product that claims a guaranteed pass rate is overpromising. We don't sell PR points; we sell the practice volume that builds the interpreting accuracy the test scores.
How the one-time payment model works
We chose not to bill recurring subscriptions for CCL preparation. The test is a one-shot event for most people — you book it, you prepare for it, you sit it, and you generally don't need to come back. A monthly subscription would either tax candidates who prepare quickly or quietly accumulate charges from people who forgot they signed up. Neither is a defensible product decision.
Each plan is a one-time payment that grants full access for the chosen duration. When you purchase the 3-month plan, your access runs for exactly 90 days from the moment of purchase. On day 91 your account reverts to the free Starter tier — your vocabulary lists and progress history stay, but new test sessions and practice dialogues lock until you choose to renew.
If your test gets rescheduled: you can purchase a new access window any time, including before your current one ends. New time stacks on top of remaining time, so buying a fresh plan in the final week of an existing one adds the full new duration rather than resetting the clock. This matters when NAATI shifts your test slot (it happens more than people expect) or when you book a later date than originally planned.
No automatic renewal, no card storage post-purchase:Stripe processes the transaction and we don't hold card numbers ourselves. The plan ends when the access window ends. To buy more access you sign in and choose a new plan — there is no auto-renew toggle to forget about.
Refund and access transfer policy
The free Starter tier exists so you can evaluate before paying: it includes a full test session with the same AI scoring and feedback as the paid plans. We'd rather you make the call on real evidence than on a refund promise.
If something goes wrong on our side:you paid and access wasn't granted, or the product materially fails to work for your language — email us and we'll fix it or refund the purchase to your original payment method.
Other situations:plans are one-time purchases for a fixed, finite access window, so change-of-mind refunds aren't standard. If your circumstances change significantly (a medical emergency, NAATI cancelling your test), email us and we'll review it case-by-case. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Account transfers:plans are tied to the purchasing account and can't be moved to a different user, so double-check you're signed in to the right account before buying. If you purchased under the wrong account, contact us promptly and we'll sort it out.
Currency:plans are billed in Australian dollars. Your card issuer may apply a small foreign exchange fee if your card is from outside Australia — that's outside our control. The AUD figure you see on the pricing card is the figure Stripe charges; there are no hidden fees from us on top.
